How to Request Data Deletion

1. Email [email protected] with the subject “Data Deletion Request”
2. Include the email address associated with your Bookworm account
3. Specify which data you want deleted, or request all non-account data
4. We will verify your identity and process the request within 30 days

Data That Can Be Deleted

The following data can be removed without deleting your account:

• AI-generated content (illustrations, summaries, character cards)
• Reading progress and bookmarks
• Book metadata and processing records
• Usage analytics linked to your account

Data Retained When Keeping Your Account

• Account profile (email, display name) — needed for account functionality
• Credit balance — needed for service use
• Purchase transaction records — required by law

Processing Time

Data deletion requests are processed within 30 days of identity verification. You will receive a confirmation email once the deletion is complete.
